Question Question on 1/4 times

Do different parts of the country effect you 1/4 times? I was at the track the other night, (just my third time going ever), and was supprised at what people were running. I ran my best @ 13.04 @ 105 MPH, but there was an R/T that ran a 15.9, A C5 that ran a 13.9, two ZO6's one ran a 13.3, the other a 13.2, also a Z28 that ran a 14.3. I was just wondering if I should be faster w/ my mods or am I right on? There was a Hennesy Viper that was using NOS and running around 9.89. I live in SanAntonio TX, and the temp when I was running was about 80 degrees outside w/ about 65 to 75% humidity. I would like to know if I have a truck that could dip into the 12's. If so how far? Thanks for any help.

Judging by your mod's, I would think you should be in the high 12's but heat and humidity will play a big part in your e/t's. It is important that you allow your truck to completely cool down between runs. You can lose a couple tenths just from your engine being hot. I have lost nearly a half second on a hot lap before. Just keep trying and you'll get there. Have fun.

Your Truck will be well into the 12s with cooler, less humid air.

By adding M/Ts or better yet, Hoosiers, you would/should be in the 12s now. Caveat: That's with a decent track...............
