Okay, I've added the links as well. I'm not sure why they're not displaying. WTF, I do not know why this is not working. Netsnapshot is having problems I think.

This is probably one of the cheapest mods anyone can do. I opted for a little more color and painted mine red.

Your calipers look BAD A$$. I was thinking about painting mine but was unsure about the color to use. I think that I will be painting mine red. What paint did you use and how long have you had yours painted. How well is the paint holding up? Do they get brake dust built up on them bad? Sorry for all of the questions but I really like the look and what to do it ASAP.

Later

I think the red color really looks good on a black L. I used Plasti-Kote spray paint from Pep Boys, costs about $8 a can. I bought two cans but only ended up using less than one. I've had them painted for over three months and they don't seem to collect must brake dust. All I've done is to hose off the wheels with high pressure water, I never use soap or wheel cleaners. The pic was taken last week and the only difference may be a slight darkening of the red, but I still have paint if I ever decide to retouch. I gave the calipers about 5 coats, using a heat gun in between coats to set the paint. The finish was VERY smooth after all those coats of paint. Just taped off the calipers and sprayed on while still on the truck.

I did red also. It is a cheap mod that is relatively easy to do.

LatemodelRacer2, you got pics/gallery?

anymore pics? i wanna do it on my 00 HD truck, but i dont' know if i should do red or silver. I don't want it to stick out toooo much, but i still wanna paint em. also, would it still work good if i sprayed the spray paint in a container then brushed it on. Don't like the thought of overspray. Thanks

I'd suggest yellow for the Black trucks. It looks good and would be different.

I think i'll pass on the yellow. LoL
I'm torn between silver and red. Can someone post some pics of red and silver from a little further distance so i can see how much it sticks out? Thanks, preferably on a black truck, but any will help.

her you go HARLEY #356

there kinda dirty but you get the idea. I also put a high temp clear coat on them when the paint was dry to give that extra bling.

Cool

Don't forget your basic painting steps, degreaseing and scuffing will make the finish look better and last longer. Especially if you have EVER used armor all or a simmilar product. Silicone and paint do not mix!!! If anyone is interested in black, Eastwoods makes a great brake drum paint that I have painted several calipers in and it looks great and holds up very well but as far as I know it only comes in black.

Laters,
Gabe
