Downshift

Is it normal when cruising at about 45-60 then punch it it takes a long pause before downshifting? I know automatics are like that but is there any way to make it downshift faster?

Thanks

I think that's normal but a chip probably could be tuned to help that 'slowness'. It's been a long time since mine was chipless .

Its normal, and a chip makes it much much better. Mine tends to jump to first gear now anywhere below 45 or so...

All my F150s have done tha -sluggish downshifting - so I just use the magic button on the shifter; quicker response.
