Did your boost gauge only go to about 9 on the stock gauge after install.

I have it. I dont think it raises your boost. Just bypasses dumping the boost .

Blowntruck is right- it doesn't raise your boost.

You should see 8-9 lbs during the day. . .slightly more at night.

why would anyone "buy" the boost bypass kit, when all you have to do is unplug the wire?

Unplugging only throws a code ....

when you plug it back in, doesnt that fix the "thrown code"

or is that something that stays in the computer of the truck?

Yes I noticed the same thing.
I think the diaphragm in the boost valve expands somewhat, which causes the boost gauge to see less boost for a while. After a few seconds mine sees 10LBs boost.

Some codes reset themselves, but often hard codes don't go away till cleared. I use Autotap to take care of any pesky MIL/SES lights...
