Question A different spin on an old question

I know that everyone generally agrees not to run pullies w/o chips being specifically designed for them due to the possibility of a lean A/F ratio. My question is this, what about putting a chip that is tuned for a 3# pulley on w/o the pulley? A few weeks ago I took off all my mods to trade the beast in, but that didn't happen. I want some of the old power back but I don't have the time right now to put the pulley back on. Any one see any issues other than the truck running very rich?
Thanks

Lost fuel economy (heh, wassat?) and possible plug fouling. The second one is a possible real problem...
