Thumbs up

Yes sir, I put a G/Y Gatorback belt on my s/c. Only made 3 passes at the track since then and the track was so slick(and my L was so powerful ) that I could only run a 13.001--spinning too much. It's got to be a better belt though.

IMO, they are a very good belt but I may be a little biased as I sell them at work. I see very little returns for this belt with actual true defects, now they are returned but it's usually becuase some idiot put it on wrong or they have other problems that damaged the belt. I just put one on my truck last Saturaday, so far so good. I do know it's the belt that Mach underdrive pulley company lists that you get ( that was on a Mustang GT).

With all these interchangeable (like underwear) pulleys out there, or what not. Why doesnt someone make 8, 10, or S H I T.... or even 12 rib pulleys and tensioners to solve any possible belt slippage....or something.
ATI did it al ong time ago on their street blower kits. Just a thought....

I am wondering how this belt can offer better grip with less surface area contacting the pulleys?

Is slippage a huge problem? I haven't had any problems and I'm just using a regular NAPA belt.

The s/c belt on my 02 slips a bit when coming off the gas after hard acceleration, and between the 2-3 shift at WOT, but not bad. haven't done any mods ot this truck whatsoever (yet) so I think one of those cog belts might be my first change :-)
