I d/k..............

if I would use one......... It's my understanding that line-locks are not permitted on street vehicles for Test-n-Tune runs at SDR, a NHRA certified track??? Is this true at other tracks---T-n-T only???

Dan, I beleive you can use a line loc on a street driven vehicle at a test and tune. I know a lot of racers who are using them, and all of them at NHRA tracks. I'll check the rulebook.

I thought most places don't want you using trans locks. Never heard them mention anything about line locks.

Yeah I can't see them getting pissy about a line lock, there mainly just to save your brakes when doing a burnout and I guess you could use them for launching.

It looks like the one on Pauls high performance has two solinoids and I remember sal saying that this is bad to do. One is all we need cause it won't effect the ABS sensors either. And 300 bucks is allot for a Line lock. You should be able to pick one up from Jegs or summit for around a 100 bucks.

I plan on doing one soon too, nicer burnouts!

How does this differ from a line lock kit and how does it install?

someone mentioned a trans brake, this is a totally different thing than a line lock, and if you do run a trans brake, you have to have a scatter shield on your tranny, or have it rapped with a cavelar blanket, I would't put one one any street drive ride, you'll be walking home alot. My .02 cents, former NHRA Super Pro Dragracer.
