TOTAL cost for 3/4 lowering kit?$?$

What is the TOTAL cost for the 3/4 lowering kit from the online store. I mean with everything, like a c-notch, what ever that is, and shocks and everything that I will need to do the job. I am assuming that I could do all of the work except the C-Notch? The reason I ask is because I lowered my truck today in photoshop, and now I LOVE how it looks

I have also read about some problems with the shocks binding or somthin? I saw a post about a possible fix, cant remember from who, but the piece was red. Is that piece available, and how much would it cost?

thanx a lot,

well I would so a bell tech drop kit 3/4 (Around 300), and then do the doetsch shocks (around 140) , and then the C notch if you really want to do it (around 80). I didn't and mines fine.

these are all estimates so you should get a real idea though.

you can get the shocks and c-notch from www.sporttruckdirect.com

dont forget the sway bar end links (front and rear) as your geometry will be all caddywampus, or something.

also consider shorter bumpstops, washers/cam bolts (if not already installed)

just a thought

Crazy,

parts alone arnt that bad compared to the diffrence in looks u get back out, i love the way a lowered L looks, from the factory there is just alittle to much wheel well..

but for parts (this is what i went with)
-belltech kit (319)
-4 nitto active shocks (39 per)
-napa bolts for ease in alignment (about 20)
-alignment about 150-200 miles after install (40-50)
-front endlinks (20 at pepboys)
-rear endlinks (15 at local welding place)

personally i started with the belltech 3/4 with the rear shackles in the second hole, which is not the most agressive stance, it was to low in back bottomed out alot and back was lower than the front, then i put on the stock shackles, much better ride and looks better this way, i would think this is now a 2" drop in the rear but being parked next to another L with just the 2" shackles on mine is lower???

and another charge i didnt add, if u have it done 200-300, if u do it, 1 or 2 years off your life, cases of beer, lots of hair pulled out, and some skin donated to the chassis.. ..

if your planning to go to a semi meet soon let me know u can check mine out or just email at jimplummer@comcast.net, and if ya do plan on putting in yourself let me know i have some tools that will help with the rear front hangers..

$289.90 to my door, lowered mine but I didn't use the rear shackles. I wanted a 2/3 drop, if you use shackles, the Bell Tech kit will give a 2/4 drop. No C-notch is required if you go 2/3.

This is a pic of my truck when I had the Bell Tech 3" front springs installed and rear shackles only.

Later I removed the shackles and installed the leaf spring front hanger which gave me one more inch drop in the rear.

The second pic shows the truck with a 3/2 drop. Wheels were changed to protect the innocent.

What's the deal with sway bars, c-notches, end links, shims and bump stops? I bought a 3/4 kit it only had hangers, coils, shocks, and shackels. I paid a brake shop $500 for install, alignment and recheck. The truck may right just a tad rougher it hasn't bottomed out or anything. What should I look into as I'm concerned I may have problems later? Thanks.

L in Detroit - Can you post a picture of your truck? I am leaning towards the Bell Tech 3/4 kit, but am dreading the fact that the rear will look lower than the front. Should I just order the Bell tech front springs, and find a two inch rear shackle drop? Forgive me, I am no suspension guru. I just want my truck lowered without the rear sag.

I have not decided how soon i will be doing this, but I think i will do what L in Detroit did. Will you be at Dave and Buster's on June 8th? If so, i will see your truck then.

Crazy,

ya ill make it a point to be up there, the new bumper cover is on and the new fogs on the way so it should be able to be seen in public again soon. , and since D&B is only 2 miles away not a prob..

93 cobra here is the best one i have to show the front in relation to the back, if u go with the belltech coil and the 2" shackles the rear may be alittle higher, next time im at a meet i will try to get a pic of mine next to one that just has the shackles..
