Just switched to Mobil-1 and NO MORE MARBLES!!
I changed my oil over the weekend and switch to full synthetic Mobil1 5W-30 and the usual "marble in the can" sound that I heard immediately after the last two oil changes was not there! The engine also seems to run quieter.
This is proof, at least in my mind, that synthetic oil really is better than non synthetic.

How many miles do you have on it..........I think I'll be switching at my next oil change..............I had my 2nd oil change at about 5500, and I think I'll be changing out to synthetic at around 8000 or so ( I have 6300 now). Do you guys think that's a good mileage to switch to synthetic???

Just so you know, the factory temp gauge is nothing more than a fancy idiot light. It doesn't really show temperature, just pops to the same place every time. I bet if you checked the temperature by some other means, it would be lower.
