Any non convertered trucks have problem with wheelspin on slicks

I am currently running a 15" wheel with 28" et drags and have 0 problem with wheelspin.

the only downside to the 28" tire is it is costing me gear especially as the tire expands

i always mpm 108 on f1's and 107's on slicks

i am thinking of going to a 26" drag and was curious if anyone has any problems with wheelspin.

i know the 26" drag will hook better on a 15" wheel than a 26" street on a 16" wheel, but was wanting some input

My 26" M/Ts on 16" ARE wheels spin too much. I'm still learning how to launch but I think they are prone to spin--just not as bad as my F1s.

Beefcake since you have 15" rims now, some 15x26x12 or 13 or something tire would hook up great for you. If the outlaw cars can run 7.80's on a 10.5 inch tire, your truck sure as hell can do it too if you have the right compound and traction bars.

Ya me too......I need a set of true slicks.

I would love to be able to launch and just mat it........maybe some day.

right now, i can mat it with no problems,

i know if i had a convertor, i would want the 28's, but if i can pick up a tenth or more just switching tires, it'd be worth it

whos got the best price on hoosiers?

Beef,

I had the 28x10x16 Hoosier SLICKS. I had a stock stall convertor and could get 1.6x's for 60 foots all the time. I know with a stall I could have got 1.5's EASY!! BUT with the stock convertor I was fine and loved my setup. As long as the class allows slicks I would get them. Much more consistent!!!
