Boost Level/20 plus PSIG CLUB
When it lands
I am just trying to find out so that when I do turn it up that I will have a good idea as to what state the cylinder head will land in when it departs the truck. In all honesty I would like to get some guidance from the guys that have already run the higher boost levels for a baseline tune. I will post my numbers and photos this week and no I have not run over 18 pounds of boost to date. I believe my current twin set up is capable of producing well over 30 pounds of boost but fuel is the obvious problem, Chet:o

Chet, Sal was running 14 lbs of boost, and the 175 shot of nitrous when he experienced the head bolt problems.
The torque to yield fasteners were stretching, and allowing the combustion pressure into the cooling system. He told me that the head gaskets were fine after these episodes. The bolts would stretch, lifting the heads, and when he shut down, they would reseat.
I know that the has gone to head studs, but I don't know if they solved that problem.
At those boost numbers, I think I would run the ballistic shields over the spark plugs, just like the fuel burners.
