License plates
Well, in good ol' Minnesota...
when you buy a vehicle, you get a 21 day temp. license to tape in your back window. If you don't install plates by the end of 21 days, you're fair game for the authorities, and the fine isn't cheap, either!
The way our state appears to do is that you have to prove you have insurance, and then you pay for the plates and yr tags right at the dealership. Then they send them to you or you pick them up. I bought my L two weeks ago, and just got my dealer's notice last Wed. I called and they said they'd be happy to drop them in the mail.
So, what's your story? If you obtained yours thru the dealer, there isn't any reason it should take that long to get them. If the state is processing them, then God help the rest of the citizens of your state if they're that freakin' slow!
Bottom line: you better check it out because the cops won't give you ANY sympathy; it's YOUR resp[onsibility to get the plates and display them in a timely manner.
Good luck!
