Question Performance Meter

Has anyone used a G-Tech Performance meter?
Just curious if they work with any accuracy. It would be nice to have something that can do what this product claims, just to do some side-by-side comparisons without having to wait until Friday night to run the clock at the Local Motorplex.
I have a hard time believing that a $140.00 “gadget” will accurately measure ¼ times and speed, 0-60 times, breaking times and HP.
Just do not want to waste $140.00 on a useless set of LED lights that mean nothing.
Especially if I could spend that same $140.00 on something more useful…like, say Denzo plugs and a breather cap

works!

I've had one for a while. So far I've only used it for 0-60 time and 60-0 distance. The results are really consistant and seem to be in the right 'area'. I posted a simular question on NLOC (anyone used it at the track and compared). The responses all said that the G-tech was within 0.2 sec in 1/4 mile. This is within the manufacturer's claimed error range. I think it is excellent to guage the worth of your latest mod. Test before and after mod, whether it be an acceleration mod or braking mod.

Thumbs up Performance Meter

Would be great to get some real quick feedback on performance on different chips (Super Chip / Diablo).
Would be nice also to see results from each mod done along the way and have some quantitative measurements to see how effective that money was spent on the latest must have performance mod and determine the true cost of each .10th /second.

I had mine in my truck the last time I went to the track.I made 4 passes and the most it was off was .050 sec. I was amazed to say the least.G-tech is AWESOME!!BTW: on my best pass it went 12.57@109 and the G-tech said 12.56 @114 .The MPH always read 5 high.

Merge

Thanks... I grew up around Carrollton, in Lewisville actually.
Now live in Plano/Allen.
Is anyone planning on running at Ennis next weekend?
I would like to see what my "L" will do before I add the 4# pulley and 90MM MAF to it.
Right now has just the Diablo chip and K&N Filter with 2002 lights all around.

Check out the TALON Forum ... There are about 40 or so Lightning owners that get together once a month.... I am NOT in a hurry to go to Ennis but I bet you can get one of the other guys to go..
