Question Factory Toneau Install Questions

My Factory Toneau is arriving today, I was wondering if there are any tips you all can give me when installing it.

Thanks
Beefcake2002L for the cover

Don,

Really isn't too much to it... the side rails go on and are bolted with the clamp nuts to the bed and before tightening the fron and back rails must go on. The tarp "threads", or slides on to the front (nearest the cab) rail from the side, so it stays in place. They rest of the tarp just glides into the slides on the side.

It is pretty a straight foward job. You will have no problem figuring it out.

Everyone's right. It is a simple install. Ford actually did a good job in the design (If they in fact designed it). Be careful on pulling the nylon straps that are attached to the back corners. They are supposed to allow for easy removal of the cover, but are a little weak.

The install was a peice of cake, But I need at least a 6 pack to drown my pain. I had just about finished installing it, and all of a sudden I smelled something burning. Some A HOLE flicked a cigerette off of his balcony in my Condo building and burned a little hole in my brand new cover. I cought it real quick and hole is only the size of a pencil tip.

Lucky for me I have a friend who owns a auto seat cover shop, he looked at it today, and said he can fix it so you will never be able to tell.

I may have him make me a cover with convertable top fabric. He did one like that on my Gen 1 Lightning and it was awesome.
