Factory Tech Valve Body

Does this mod affect shift firmness under normal throttle? I was hoping it was mostly a WOT correction.

Thanks,
Mark

You will feel it nice at regular throttle, but only if you are looking for it,, this is by far not a hard shift at all under regular throttle, just a quick shift,, it will not throw your head back at all,,,,its a beutiful mod which brought tears to my eyes when installed it in my truck. Under WoT ,,, great shifts occur,, very quick strong shifts,, and a very fluid shift as well, very good use as far as no loss of speed in any race,,, there are many people who will back this up,, its the perfect shift under any condition,, thats why i'm a happy owner,,, gotta love factory tech.

I'll tell you what, the F/T valve body that is just installed feels like somebody smacks the back of the seat with a bat when it shifts at WOT and I love it! At mild around town driving, it's as smoth as a baby's butt

I already had a chip in mine when I installed the F/T valve body, and had intended to have the line pressure logic taken out, but now I think I might leave it alone. It turns the tires in second gear.

Do any of you guys think there's any adverse mechanical affects to leaving it this way?

what i suggest,,, try it without the reburn,,, if she shifts too hard,, take the chip in for a reburn and she will run fine till you get it back. try factory tech's online forum over on nloc.net to get any specific answers,,, he's been asked many q's much like this before and answered them very well.

COOL THANKS

The reason why I was asking was that I'm stock and wanted a firmer shift no chip yet was thinking of getting one but wanted to know if it would work without a chip didn't want to buy one then have to go out and buy a chip. waiting for all of the warranty to run out.
Thanks,
Ryan

talk to Jim@JDM

I know Jim knows how to program the chip for the valve body. He will leave the line pressure stock and cut down the shift duration. My truck is mostly daily driver and the shift are awesome. The 1-2 shift is a little too awesome so i'm gonna have it toned down a bit. But there is no problem breaking the tires loose going into second.....and it doesn't even have to be at wot!!!! It just snaps into third and 4th like butter!!! Not like stock where you can sometimes count mississippis!!!
