Talking Monster Tach Installed And Working

Well got my Autometer 3910 5" sliver face tach installed with Sals new tach module. Works great. I need this for launch RPM in brackets. My ideal launch RPM is between 12 and 1400 rpm for a good lite. Too fast and I redlite, too slow and I get a bad lite. Hey, the old cadillac has one and hes won brackets champion three times.

Waiting on Lunar guages on order.

This is the COP factoy take off module. It is right on the front of the engine on the drivers side, easy to get to. There are two wires a pale blue and a bright green. You want to tap into the bright green. Remove plug and SODER WIRE. Wire loom below finger is my add to run wire back to the firewall and the famous rubber gromet on drivers side.

I mounted the tach base to the pillar because I didn't want to drill holes in the dash. I added two screws to pillar to hold it in place. Pre drill the holes and use 3/4" or shorter machine screws.
Off to the track tomorrow to find the perfect rpm for a .5000 lite.

Question

noelvm

Looks good !!

What brand full pillar is that?

Is it strong enough to hold the tach without vibrating?

I ordered one and was told they were on backorder from the manufacturer (autometer).

Its an autometer. I've had it for about a year waiting on those Lunar gauges. I had a Lo-tek but someone needed one so I sold that and then autometer sent me one to test. They are about the same in quality, but the autometer comes unpainted and I never did find an exact match in paint. The Lotek comes painted and ready to install. The price is about the same.
