bedrug with spray in liner???
Does anyone have the bedrug with a spray in bedliner? The reason I ask, is that part of the deal I made with my wife when she agreed to let me get a Lightning, is that I would use it as a truck if the need ever arose. For example - getting shrubs, bags of mulch, etc from the local nursery or the occasional sheet of plywood. No loads of dirt or rock though. I really like the look of the bedrug, but I would like to be able to take it out and still have the bed protected from scratches when I needed to use the Lightning for more than hauling a$$. Thanks in advance.
there are velcro stickers that stick to the sides of the bed. i dont think that those will stick to the rhino-liner. you can probably go to www.bedrug.com and send them an email or call them and ask to find out for sure....chris
I would just do the bedrug, it can handle the daily abuse from the average person going to home depot for plant and shrubs.
All you do is pressure wash it when its dirty and your done.

Velcro doesn't stick well to the sprayed on liner. You don't have to use the velcro strips if you have a bed cover. Just zip the bedrug together and place it inside the bed. The screws already in the tailgate panel will hold the tailgate in place and the tie downs will also help hold the bed rug in. Good Luck. I have had my bedrug in a display bed(dakota) a couple years now and it hasn't folded in on the sides...
Line-X spray on liner is a two part thermosetting polyurethane. I forgot to tell my installer I was going to later install an Advance hard tonneau, and he sprayed the front bedrail behind the cab (very nice job, though). The Advance cover has two sets of self-adhesive weatherstripping, each using a variant of the 3M acrylate superadhesive. I was afraid the weatherstrip wouldn't stick, so I cut a tiny piece of the weatherstrip and stuck it on the bedrail for a week. Through hot sun, rain, frost, and a couple of car washings it held fast. GREAT! I cleaned the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol before applying. It's been a couple of months, and the weatherstrip has not budged at all.
I think the surface of the polyurethane should be "active" enough to be a good bonding surface for these superadhesive tapes, such as 3M.

Just the bedrug
Just stick with the edrug. Hose it out with a pressure washer every so often and you are set.

Get A rubber Bed Mat
They are like $50 and when you carry something greasy or dirty put it in.That is what I have done for years.I have had bedrugs in my lasts 2 trucks. If you get shrubs and it rubs into the bedrug it does get a little dirty even after cleaning.Same with grease. If you keep it protected from the harsh elements with a Rubber mat you get the best of both worlds.Just leave it in the garage until you need it.

Hi all,
By this time we all might know many things from this forum, I guess. Informative forum ..!
Coming to adhesive tapes I'd prefer the one that lasts long, durable and secured one too.
