Mine will be here today!!

the cost $189.00 each, I called EVERY Hoosier Distributer, and found 1 set left yesterday! so I had them overnighted...OUCH!!

I found them in Conneticut (SP) Hoosier Tire East, they said the would be getting more next week.

They better not have sent you the set I had special ordered, LOL

Looks like there will be a bunch of these big fat mummas out at the tracks this year.

Darn thing wouldnt let me edit my last post.
Don, what rim are you gonna use, I saw a post on SVT from this guy and he said they stuck out of the wheel well about 2 inches. I wonder what kind of offset he has on his wheels. I dont think I could live with it sticking out far enough to set a beer can on.

I hope these were not yours, cause I sure would hate to see you get mad at thise guys at Hoosier Tire East, they seem like a good bunch!!!!

If you're running 3.73 gears and run a 26" tall tire, you essentially make your gear ratio close to a 4.10. Will that get a quicker ET and slower MPH through the traps?

How much stiffer are these sidewalls over the Drags.

I just want these for street driving purposes and a little stiffer side wall would be nice.

Do these need inner tubes too?

Don let us know how they work. I'll tell you what, the drag versions HOOK!!!

I got mine this afternoon, and got them all mounted up. I am running them on American racing Baja wheels. They do stick out a little bit, but not enough to set a tall boy on.

I will try to post a pic in the next day or so. Man are these sneaks wide.

Lightbulb

I measured John's DOTs against my SLICKS when he brought them to the track last Saturday. The are 1/4 of an inch taller which is the extra rubber they put on to cut the grooves in for the DOT rating. The DOTs are 12" wide at the footprint vs 10" wide for my slicks. I have no idea if the sidewall is different but I tend to doubt it.

Don -

Thanks for posting the pic. I just got my set yesterday and I can live with the way they mount up and fit using the rims you have. Those don't stick out that much at all.
