I am a WANTED MAN!!!!

Re. Sent a ricer back to the speed shop.

It seems this guy is telling everyone he missed a shift and wants to go another round.Should I think he is up to something or
should I see if he will race me at the track.
I know cars and am sure the L will again DROP HIM LIKE A BAD HABIT!!!

This clown has made several attempts to impress me with a few high speed passes on my street where work.

As most people know I do not think much of street racing.
But the Professor just might ring the school bell, and teach the rice crowd a lesson about TORQUE and getting SPANKED!!

AGAIN!!

what would you guys do????

Take him back to school.
It makes me wonder though why he would want to get embarrased again? Maybe something new?

If he's serious, ask him to put his money where his mouth is! I betcha he won't do that.

He's probably just doing that to save face with his ricer friends.

Sounds like he may have added a big shot of "naws" if he's that anxious to race.

I am going to have a face to face with the dude today in order to resolve his problem.
I will only race at the track as I can't afford to lose my license and my truck.
I am sure he has went the NOS route but, two can play that game. I have always wanted to have the bottle for a 75 horse shot. If this is his game I'm in!!
Not on the street !!

What times might I see with a 75 SHOT and my current mods ?

2001 Lightning
JL Chip (Diablo)
JL Air intake
JL Powercooler
JL 4lb lower
ASP 1lb upper
Boost bypass
Factory Tech valve body
Bassani cat back exhaust

smart move

Race him at the track and there's no question about who can do what. Plus, you get to keep your license and the L won't get impounded. Good move. Glad your temper didn't over-ride your good sense.

You'll probably blow somthing up with that combo if your not careful!

I wouldn't spray anymore then a 50 shot with that much pulley on the truck and then I would say you should run high 11 or very very low 12 most likely.

You will have the boots on though, right?

take him down!

Just take him to the track and make him put money down. He may learn his lesson then.

And if he *misses a shift* agian, advise him to get an auto as it's more in skill level.

What kind of Ricer? And how close was he to ya in the last one that you mentioned? Before I'd put money down, I'd inspect his engine closely to see what he's got. There's a lot of speedy ricers around. Find out what he's up to.

I wouldn't race him again just yet. You proved once that you are the man. Let him talk smack until his lips fall off. Let him squirm. He'll end up blowing his rice-bucket apart with the Sportsman Pro fogger direct port nitrous set-up on his 4 banger sooner than he thinks. I don't care what these ricers think- those engines were never designed to take huge shots of nitrous. Alot of people don't know this, but imports (especially asian) don't deal really well with nitrous. Something about the intake temp/air pressure drop differential/change while on the nitrous creates odd (even harmful) computer compensation/adaptation changes or some crap. Anyway- Ricers die quickly on the bottle. The serious Jap cars all run turbos . . . .Look at the Supra, 3000GT, Lancer, and even the AWD Eclipse (if done correctly). If this guy you are racing is running a turbo, then he's serious competition and should be dealt with at the track. If he's just some 17 year old idiot that bolted nitrous on his mom's old Accord, then don't waste your time or gas trouncing him again.

Save it for the turbo porches and Supras.

Later,

Blah!

Don't worry about the NOS. You should be low 12's already. He would have to do A LOT to get his ricer into the 12's (enough so that he would deserve to beat you).

My little Saturn should beat you, but that's because it's got some really fun tricks on it (Lightning is MUCH more effecient in mod dollars/hp)

Your standard Honda VTEC can't handle NOS because if you set it wrong, it will try and shift to the low profile cams for emmissions due to the cold air... switching down cams at high RPM is a bad thing(tm)

The only wa to safely run NOS on a VTEC on the street is to have a full custom computer ($2000-$3000)

That and keep it reasonable. 4 banger or big block it doesn't matter, to much nitrous and the engine is gonna give. A 50hp shot on most 4 bangers will go over fine and be safe if not abused, over that IMO your pushing your luck. And alot knucklehead punk teenagers can't be told anything, so they think there almighty V-tech can handle a 200hp shot. They might as well fill up the tank with Techron and take it for a spin
