Question Looking for 5.4L Lightning Long Block Motors

Anyone know where is the cheapest place to find 2001/ 2002 5.4L Lightning Longblock?

Cheapest I have found so far is Karkraft.com $3695.

I'm looking to rebuild my engine since I think I melted one or two pistons in my block this past weekend. I will find out tomorrow diagnosis once engine is pulled out.

Make sure you check your heads if they are not damaged then you wont need a long block. A good well built short block can be had for a reasonable price from any of the tunners. I hope it aint bad. What happened?

Just checl the boards. You may get lucky.
Back in Jan. I was checking the boards and came across a '01 lightning longblock in the parts section of NLOC. I called the guy up and said it had 2,000 miles on it with piston slap in #7 cylinder, but the cylinder wall was still perfect. Got it for $500. What a deal! Came with the valve covers, front cover, and oil pan.
I haven't ran into a dishonest L owner yet. And I do a lot of buying and selling over the internet. That stands out in the Lightning community.

JDM has a real nice used 2001 motor that he may sell at a reasonable price.

It is my old engine, and it was a real nice motor. It is complete fron the intercooler down.

I would get a rebuilt motor before I would buy a stock block. you can get a rebuilt one from PSP for almost the same price.

Try this guy unless you're just looking for a stock replacement.
