Installed Exhaust & JDM Stage 1 Kit This Weekend!!!
Installed Exhaust & JDM Stage 1 Kit This Weekend!!!
WOW!! What a power difference. I installed the JDM Stage 1 Performance Kit & Borla Cat-Back Exhaust System. I you can feel a very noticeable power difference. My truck will now bark the tires at shifts to 2nd from 1st at WOT. (Does everyones do this?)It will also peg out the boost gauge now going as far as the guage will allow. (past 10). I am very pleased with the kit, although I have 1 question, as you know the kit comes with the Flip Chip & mine is Side 1 Street Program & Side 2 Race Program. Does anyone know what are the differences in the two programs? I can not tell a noticeable difference, especially in the shifting. Thanks for the help......

the race program, utilizes "race fuel". don't run that program, with hi boost or rpm's without it.

Soap,
Is your shaker hood funtional? I can't tell from your gallery but it looks like it might be. If so how does it get the air to your air filter? Did you notice any performance increase?

My suggestion is to call Jim and ask him what side 2 is all about. Nobody else on this Web Site knows what you have. What's on my side 2 could and probably is much different that yours.
I'm glad you are pleased with the results. Sure keeps a smile on your face doesn't it.

)It "scoops" air in and sends it through a cutout on the underside of the hood then air exits over top of the filter. This would be most useful with an open element air filter.
As for performance.......if you are buying it for that then don't waste the $1000 beans

I don't have the exhaust, but I have all other mods, and yes, my tires break a bit on the 1 to 2 shift... it really slams hard on the 2 to 3...
so much so that I'm a bit nervious... I'm planning on pulling out the Line Mod vavle in lou of the Factory Tech's valve body replacement. I've heard nothing but good things from people who have it and have had several recomendations from x-line mod users.
just my $.02

Generally on side two, the converter locks up at about 20 mph. Running this on the street will create more heat in the transmission and your gas mileage will show a noticeable drop. Side two has more aggressive fuel/air tables. It can be programmed to whatever octane you want. At my request mine is programmed to 97-98 for a 50-50 mixture of 93 and 104. Most side twos are programmed by Jim for 93 octane unless you ask for something different.
