Seeing most of the numbers for aftermarket catback are Zero. I havent had time to look under my new 02 L, but are we already Mandrel bend? Or is it crush? Just wondering ive been through SHO's and a SVT Contour, so im not use to all this nice stuff in my truck

 

Can't speak for every '99, but mine came with mandrel bent stainless from the exhaust manifolds back. The tips are a ceramic coated stainless steel. I must say it's one of the finest factory exhausts I've run into this side of the Corvette. I didn't like the muffler, however, so I swapped in a dual inlet, dual outlet flowmaster. I still have the OE piece just in case a Blue Bird School Bus gets a hole in one of theirs and needs a replacement.

Do you know that part number for the flowmaster?? DOes it sound good??

IS there another good sounding muffler replacement for the L.

 

whats the parts # on the Flowmaster, price to..how loud is it over stock..I dont want anything taking out the neighbors windows.

 

I took off my muffler and went from a 13.89@99 to a 13.60@101

Thats with the stock airfilter too. Then I got a chip and went 13.14@104. Now it looks like I might have a set of slicks to borrow...Shootin for 12's with the least amount of mods.

 

MY Stock L isn't Stainless. looks pretty rusty to me.
