Bras ???

I'm thinking of getting a front end cover for my L. Does any one know where I can get a good fitting bra for the L. Also who is it that has a picture of their truck with the bra on. I have seen it and now can't find it? I think it is a white truck.

Thanks

I got mine from the Ford collection. They dont look so good on, but if you are on a trip, it will save you from rock and bug damage.

OMG That looks aweful. I've been looking into one as well for my few long trips. I know some guy uses clear 3M stuff that looks transparent when applied with a heat gun. Then just remove it when it's bad and add new one.
How much are those bras anyways?

E-LO,

I paid $120 for the one from Ford Collection. As with most bra's the top flaps at highway speeds and scuffed up my hood.

I was looking into getting a bra just for my weekend travels which usually is about 200 to 350 miles worth. I hate always cleaning the bugs off the front which takes a couple of hours to do properly. And on top of that I every once and awhile find new rock damage. But if there is a possibility that a bra (from ford collection ?) will mess up the hood in the process then it would be counter productive to use. Anyone know of a quality bra or a reasonable priced alternative that wont mess up the truck in the process of protecting it? I know there has to be some travellers out there that worry about road debre problems. So speak up! All info is appreciated.

There is not a bra made that will protect your truck. I would rather have small stone chips and bugs to clean than having a rough front end. I had a red Mustang at one time where the previous owner had a bra for the same purpose as you, and the paint was completely screwed up. The paint was dull, and there was a definitely where you could tell the bra was. Definitely do not go that route.

Has anyone tried using the 3M strips on the areas where the bra contacts the paint? The bugs around here are big enough to dent the radiator fins, and it sucks to clean the radiator. But I also don't want scuffed paint either...

Yeah Z, I understand what you mean by dented radiator. I have some dents that look like someone took a baseball bat to it.

I do agree with 93cobra, I would rather just clean then deal with messing up the L's good looks. But if there is a good alternative to a bra then I would give that a try.
