Anyone looking for an '02 L...

...a dealer in Memphis (Dobbs Ford @ Wolfchase) has at least three on the lot that I saw this weekend. Two were brand new, one was a used '02. They were closed, so couldn't get any details on the used one. Just thought I would pass it on in case anyone was in the market.

Yes, they do!! RED(new), BLACK(new and used). I saw them, but when I did there was no sticker on the used one. It was very clean though. What were you in Memphis for?

I emailed Dobbs Ford twice about an L in the two weeks prior to purchasing my L and the only thing I ever got was a standard reply stating they would be in contact to discuss specifics. No contact was ever made, needless to say I was unimpressed with them and bought my L locally for a reasonably good deal.

They've only had them for about 2 weeks. There are two Dobbs Fords in Memphis and I haven't seen any at the other dealership for a while now.

Litenin - I was in town for a meeting at Ducks Unlimited, and truck shopping.

2020 - I wasn't particularly impressed with the staff at Dobbs on Mt. Moriah either - told the sales weanie that I was looking for a F250 Crew Cab 4 x 4 with the V0 in it, and he told me they didn't make a SuperCrew with a V10. DUH! Since when does F250 Crew Cab = SuperCrew? Wouldn't you want your sales staff to know what it is that you sell??? That is why I didn't go by the other Dobbs lot until after they closed.

The problem with the Dobbs dealerships now is that are not locally owned anymore. The big conglomerate of AutoNation (Wayne Huizenga (sp) ) bought all of Dobbs dealerships across the country a few years ago and then bought Oakley-Keesee Ford a couple of years ago and put Dobbs name on it.

It just isn't the same anymore. We used to buy all our work trucks there including my '99 Lightning and I would send all my friends there. But now, I won't send anyone there anymore. The best dealer now seems to be either Landers Ford in Collierville or Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch.

I guess the corporate giant of Autonation won't let the Dobbs locations deal on trucks anymore...their loss.
