Those of you who haved removed the bottom of the air box completely have you had any problems or anything to speak of????

Nope .... Nary a lick ... Aside from the increase in the
S/C whine ... <SEG>

 

I drilled 5 inch and a half holes in the bottom of my air box and gained one pound of boost, I havn`t had any problems at all.

None at all...........a little more blower whine, and the needle gets pegged at 10# a little more often!

Just make sure that when you install the K&N, u don't have any excess oil that could get sucked into the MAF..........you'll lose enough money that could have been used for a pulley, more or less.

I've had mine off for a year now with no problems at all. I drilled to holes in the ribs on the end of the air box to route the tie wraps though so they wont slip off.
