HELP!! 100' POSI'S from a roll!!
I need suggestions from L owners who have installed traction bars.
I am not hooking up do to many mods. I knew this was going to happen but held off buying traction bars hoping to read about other owners views on products they have installed.
Many of you know how frustrating it can be smoking the tires from a roll as soon as you stomp the gas(it does look cool but does nothing for your E.T.). It is nothing to light the tires 100+ feet from about a 10 mph roll!! I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
Any suggestions on brands and ease of install?
More important,do they work as advertised?
I am not afraid to weld if necc.
Thanks in advance!

cant help you on the traction problem but what mods do you have to light up the tires like that? My truck is stock but if the tires spin even a small amount it upshifts all by its self (I hate that)

No traction bars are going to eliminate wheel spin. What they will do is help weight transfer, and to keep the axle from twisting which can distroy your driveshaft.
I have had both the Cal tracs and the JDM/Rancho traction bars. Unless you have a extreem drop on your truck I recomend the JDM bars.
With the JDM bars I did a 1.77 60' time on the way to a 12.12 at a little over 112 mph on my stock tires this past weekend.

What Don said.....................but I have the Truck-Traks--good for reducing axle wrap/driveshaft breakage but the tires will still spin. They are the easiest of all to install(from what I've read about the other devices) and helped me get a 1.792 60' and a 12.532@108.83 on M/Ts. You guys running in the 12s(many quicker than me) on F1s have my respect and bafflement.

Mine also upshifts on its own but will spin aggressively deep into 3rd gear. This does take a good amont of skill to keep the truck going in the direction you want. Please be carefull once you get to this power level.

With just a 2" drop in the back, with the Belltech shackles, am I running the risk of damaging my driveshaft? Or is it the additional boost/power that creates this danger.....Should I be looking into a driveshaft loop or traction bars with my mods (see sig), or is this stuff more recommended on the higher boost trucks......sorry, I'm quite ignorant when it comes to suspension needs and symptoms...
