Hey folks... I'm thinking about putting a set of lightning headlamps on my King Ranch... had a question for you all..

Besides the look, are they really 'better' than the stock f150 lights? I mean, I know some of you guys have used the regular f150 lights prior to owning the cadillac of sport trucks. What did you all think? I'm trying to justify the cost I guess you could say.

I've found a decent deal on a set but, I want to make sure I'm going to get some performance out of them too... and not just looks.

Are just for looks as far as I know.

Now the Xenarc's(HID) are for performance....

Yeah, I love the Xenarcs but, I hate the price.

I saw a set the other day on a truck and all I could say was DaMn! Very impressive.

I actually do some work for OSRAM Sylvania (the company who makes Xenarc, as you know). I'm going to hit a couple of the 'higher ups' in the company up for an inside track to getting a couple three sets. I'll buy three... sell two if I can do it. That way I could pay for my set and help out a couple of folks get a set cheaper than retail.

Who knows, maybe it'll work out. I'll let you all know if I can get my paws on some.

 

They do look better, and do put a better projection on the ground than the 99-00 lights did.

 

Anyone ever put the APC headlamps up against the Lightning lamps? Just curious to see and hear about the differences?

 

Any other thoughts? You guys move QUICK on this board. I look up and there's 15-20 new posts. LOL
