What to do? I need to tow my truck.

Hey everyone. I was going to have my engine installed at a somewhat local place - 30 min away - but I just got an email from that place and they said that they cant do the install for me and i have to go to this other place which is about 2.5 hours away. I dont think a tow truck would tow that far and even if they did it would be way too expensive and i wouldnt trust it for that long of a ride. So now I have to get the truck down there some other way. I was thinking about renting a flatbed trailor and another truck but I remember a thread that said our tires are too big to fit on the trailor or something like that?? Anyway, any help or advice on towing and where to get a flatbed would be great.

thanks

i would rent a f150 from a rental place, like national or enterprise, for 30 bucks a day, then go to a u haul or ryder or a local tool renting place and get a car dolly, i have rented them in the past for 45 for 24 hours..

Thumbs up

Glad to hear that you are getting it all taken care of, I was waiting for one of your Lightning brothers to chime in and offer to tow it for you. I know that they exist because I had one of my fellow Lightning brothers offer to tow my Lightning From Maine to NJ. about a 7 hour drive each way when you are pulling a trailer, and he even drove an hour and a half up from where he lives in NH to load it up. He never asked for anything, and he didn't even want to take gas money, he just did it to help out another Lightning brother out, as a favor. You don't find many like that, So if you are reading today JR. than thank you again. He was at my house at like 5.00 am to load it up and we didn't get back until close to midnight. You are the man buddy, and we all need to be more family orientated like that.
