16X10 wheel source

Just ordered some Alcoa style L171 16x10 wheels for $99/ea. Performance Plus Tire in SoCal 1-888-926-2689 ask for Jeff. They also have the open end lug nuts to go with them. Wheels, lug nuts, and freight came to $245.

Page 163 of the July Truckin' mag. Bottom of the page "Deal 51". Looks like the Baja and I believe they are the wheels Mickey Thompson sells as their own.

My alcoa rims came in today. Photos in my galley under cosmetics. The two negatives I see are they are not as light as I hoped (20LBS), and the back spacing is only 4.5". They will just barely stick out past the wheel well (1/2"-3/4"). Hopefully the slicks will be here soon. The open end lug nut P/N is: G90008.

Overall impression. Good quality inexpesive aluminum wheel. Should work great for the slicks.

They Look awesome

I just got my American racing Bajas today,(part # 172-6135) they look very close to your rims. I have no idea what the back spacing is. I am waiting for my Hoosier Quicktime Pros, they will be in CT tomorow and on my truck by next week.

My only problem the idiots sent me 12mm lug nuts.

I can't wait to try the new slicks, and am shooting for some 11's

What slicks are you getting???????

I will be running the Hoosier 28-10X16. Make sure you get open end lug nuts. NHRA requires them with slicks. The place I listed above chagred me $.75/ea for the 14mm nuts. Checked tham last night just to make sure. They are correct.
