I may be possiby moving to the Chicago area for work and want to know what type of area I am moving to. My main area of work would be around Vernon Hills. Is this a nice area? Am I gonna have to worry about leaving the L outside overnight? Thanks for the help guys.

 

vernon hills is a nice area and you shouldn't have any problems out there.

 

I work in Vernon Hills and yes it is very nice. Don't worry about leaving it outside, there is little to no crime in this area.

If this goes through I would be working at a business complex for Washington Mutual. I am still trying to figure out if I want to just close my eyes and take a "leap of faith" and move to Chicago though, but then again in this field (IT) jobs are hard to come by these days! Thanks for the help.

 

That is right behind where I am at. That is also really close to CDW if you know who they are. They are always hiring IT people. It's a nice area but kinda expensive. That's why I live north of here.

If you are thinking of moving into Chicago "proper" check auto insurance rates. They can get pretty heavy for the L in some areas.
