Loss of power??

I was going to race the other day and did a qucik burnout before the race. When i lined up to race i punched it and no response, the revs kept going up but the speedometer would't. I stopped and started again and worked fine. I got kind of scared, is this a tranny problem or motor? Have any of you experienced this.

I would call JL first and ask him because it might be a chip-connection issue. That's the good news.

On the other hand, it might be a trans. problem. That's the 'bad' news.

I had the same problem. I hit the rev limiter on the burnout.

When I left the starting, there was no boost. It ran about a 10 second 1/8 mile.

Mow, I put it into neutral and rev it between the burnout and the run. It gets the trans fluid circulating too.

You must have hit the boost dump.
When that happens it takes a few seconds to reset it's self.

There are 2 ways to fix it
1 JDM boost bipass
2 disconect the plug for the boost dump when you race.

Highly unlikley it was boost dump if the speedo didnt move.Did the truck just sit there while the motor winged up?or did it pull off very slowly?
