Drove the SYCLONE aka "Lightning killa" today
Impressions :
1st gear is gone instantly
goes good up to 65-70 and then is to not to be desired
I know this paticular truck is all stock and in pretty good condition for a 91.Od give it a 8.2 on 1=10
Against a stock 02 Lightning??....NO WAY The truck runs good but I can see how it would beat a lighting out of the hole but it just doesnt have what it takes to beat a lightning in the middle or the top!Id say it would take til 70 to be next to him and then a lightning would walk or RUN away from there.
IMPORTANTLY, We all should be very happy to have such a refined truck.For those of you who have never driven one,You are not missing ANYTHING! Yes its a 91 and yes it handles like a 91 with road noise and crappy hand;ing.i would NEVER choose a sy over a lightning.not even a 93-95L.The quality is not there like the speed is.Our Lightnings are ferrari when it comes to trucks compared to those SYs!!
Makes me realize even more how nice our Lightnings are!!

Syclone & Typhoons........a mint one today....BAD ***! Mint being low mileage, reworked motor...turbo/cooler/throttle body etc., But yes they are still a S10 based GM......Piece of S....! Mind you these trucks were sold at over 30k new back in 93 (Typhoon), thats some coin for back in the day. Lightning with the same $$$ invested for mods will walk a modded/prime phoon or clone.
