I got mine from Lightningforce and it comes with the 170 thermostat. $50 cheaper also.

Flex-a-lite has a new dual fan setup for the F150. I have seen it installed on a couple of test trucks..It's looks like a very good quality fan set, and clean install.. Check summit racing, they may have it..I think it's less than $400(not sure). The Flex-a-lite rep told me they were shipping them out last week.. Truckin mag was at the install I was as and are doing a writeup about it....JR

I know of 2 guys that have them installed by flex-a-lite on '00 L's and one on a '02 screw....They are the test vehicles, the screw got about 11 more hp on the dyno after install, I was there...JR

Help me, hurt me?

Been following the elec. fan threads for a while and still not sure if they are the ticket for 125 degree air temps in the desert (that's not counting road temps!).

The L is a daily driver so.... can't think 1/4 all the time (well I do, but kinda have to be realistic, sort of)

BadBolt2,

I've only got 2500 miles on my truck man! Don and Peter both have the electric fans though in their daily drivers and neither of them have had any problems here in Phoenix yet (although neither of them have been through a summer yet).

I've read about 2 speed units that have an (I guess) always on low setting and go to high with the a/c on.... that sounds better (I guess!) than one that comes on only above 170 or so?

question

im looking to get a electric fan set up on my 01 but thing is if the fan ever fails will the temp gauge show an increase in temp?? i think it just goes up till its normal and then sits there, ??? reply back, cause i know a few years back a freind had a escort, elec fan went out and whammo the temp gauge went up and car overheated, a elec fan is nice woudl get the temp up quicker in the winter so saves gas milliage plus it gets cold here in Chicago
