Back from the track.....

I am back from the track last night and the truck did not perform all that well in my opinion.

I was hoping to be in the 7's in the 1/8 mile but the best i could muster was 8.29 @ 84.71, I was still getting used to the slicks and had a best 60ft of 1.87. I only got 3 passes due to some track problems and I need to figure the best way to launch this thing too!!!!

The temp was in the mid to high 70's and the humidity was real high but i felt it should have done better then a 8.29, The ET does not really trouble me but the MPH is way low for my mods. I know the truck makes good power(407/515) but it just was not performing all that well.

Any thoughts - opinions?????

Wink Too Humid

Yo Bob, you're not doing bad at all, the heat and humidity kill the performance in our trucks. Try again on a cooler, drier day and your numbers will improve dramatically, good luck, John H.

Bob,

I ran last night at Moroso (West Palm) and was a few tenths and MPH off also, the heat was terrible and on my last pass at 10:30 pm the temp gauge was still registering 80*!!!

I love it when people say to wait for a cool, clear day, guess that means I'll have to wait til November . Nope time for some artificial help, think a powercooler might do the trick.
