Love my New L, but have a question....

Hey guys, I've been posting here a little while and took delivery of my new 02 Lightning on Tuesday, she is awesome....haven't got to get on it all the way, but hit it about 3/4 throttle, waiting for 200 miles or so to gun it....I have a question though, I am having one heck of a time getting the factory stereo out. I bought the tool and push them in but it refuses to pull out, I took off the dash surround and even removed the climate controls, still no luck....am I doing something wrong, any help would be appreciated....

Puch the tools until theu CLICK, take your thumb on the inside of the tools and push outward. Then pull back while you have them pushed out and it should come right out....

Congrat's Wave on the beast. Great truck ain't it? I know how you feel with the stock stereo. I got really frustrated. Finally I figured it out. You have to push the tool towards each other and pull out really hard (give it a couple of hard pulls) or pull the tools away from each other and pull really hard along with some really hard pulls, as if your ripping the unit out. Its in there hard, just gotta give it some weight to get it out.

Good luck, and have fun with the truck.
