Subject: Incident w/your insured

Hello. Yesterday afternoon a gentlemen who has Safeco Insurance was
wrecklessly driving down 136th Street in Burien. From a stop, he
started
driving really fast and "burnt out" on the pavement. In the process,
tearing
up pavement and flinging rocks and gravel at my car. My windshield has
several cracks in it as well as my hood. Once he realized what he was
doing, he gave us his insurance information, but did not provide a
phone
number for me to contact to start a claim.

After a search on the Internet, you were the closest Safeco Agent
nearest
his house, so I am emailing you for help. Can you either provide me
with the
teleohone number to start the claim, or is this something that your
office
would handle? I would like to get this resolved as quickly as possible,
so a
quick response to this email is much appreciated.

Thank you

Diana Clark

Just driving an L you are always a target for jealousy! This appears to be the latest case... Was this guy not taunting you to begin with?

Hopefully I can ask this without flaming, but if you were totally innocent, why would you give this person your insurance info?

I probably don't know the whole story.

Probleminfected - of course they are going to lie and extend the truth, thats how it goes to make them innocent. You will say they were following to close, they will say they had a safe distance. They will say you did a burnout, and you will the tires must have slipped on some gravel which is where the rock that flew up came from.

topsy - the whole story is like a page or 2 back, and there is always 2 sides to a story, probleminfected did admit in the other thread he left a little hastily in order to get them to stop following so close.

edit - you may want to invest in this:

Maybe I'm coming in too late on this thread, but... how far was your L from her windshield? Was she right behind you? If not, I can't see how you could have cracked her windshield from a start, unless there was a ton of #2 roadbase (granite chunky stuff) all over the road...

Besides, to have a cause of action, there has to negligence, or intent - ok you spun tires, but were you "reckless" - acting with a wanton disregard for safety or property? Likely not. Sh#t, 18 wheelers crap all over the road, but there is no actionable result.
