im not sure what you mean by solo license. i have a permit that allows me to drive with any CA licensed driver any time.

i am going to take some driving class' but those are already going to be payed for.

DB,
all this power will be used on the track. i may not go often because its about an hour away but i will go.

a few of you have really answered my question so the next thing that goes in will probably be the F/T transmission.

I'm in the same boat with you JJ15. I'm still only 15, but I've been saving my money for about the past 3 years to buy this truck. I've been behind the wheel of some fast cars before, and I plan to be responsible when I get this beast. Personally, out of your list, I would go with a full exhaust. Just my $.02

if thats the case,
Get the center console conversion, get a set of 20's and lower it a tad bit more. Also why not a hood?

Monster Box (Gotta handle the power)
Truck- Tracks (Gotta put it to the ground)
Full LT exhaust of your choice, T/B (Mo power)
Electric Fan conversion (quiet and cool)

P.S. Don't let electronic whispers from the internet guide your life...Your mother's opinion and guidance is worth much, much more than all the jibber-jabber you'll get online. Keep her happy -- she seems to be doing her best to make you happy.

His mother must hate him?

Seriously, I'm sure that is not the case. However, you have to wonder why a mother would get a 500hp (with mods) truck for her child when she lost her husband in a car accident. Another sad example of an overindulgent parent making well intended, but possibly fatal decisions for their child. His immaturity is demonstrated amply by his posts. Ok, he's 15 and entitled to be immature, almost all are. An analogy would be for a parent to buy a machine gun as a kid's first firearm! A Civic si,some courses at nationally recognized performance driving schools, and at least 3 years of experience before being allowed any high performance vehicle! Glad to hear he "won't drive over 100 for the first year"! Also glad he doesn't live in my neighborhood! DARE YOU TO SHOW THIS POST TO YOUR MOM! Can't blame you for wanting L, especially when means are apparently there. YOU'RE NOT READY!

I believe it is unfair of you to pass judgement so harshly. We don't know the complete circumstances of this guys situation. I agree that maybe its not the wisest decision to be driving a 500hp truck for a first vehicle, but its his decision and not ours. I don't know how he convinced his mother to buy it for him, (I'm 16 but I'm paying for mine with money from work) but maybe it isn't the greatest thing for her to do. But then again, we don't know this guys life. Give him a break. Not ALL teenagers are drunk, irresponsible f*ckups. Just my opinion

This was in the local paper here 2 weeks ago.

16 yr old got a 02 Z28...
A few weeks later he tried to race someone on Orchard Lk(busy street).

The other guy didn't race but the kid reached speeds over 100mph anyway.

Needless to say he clipped the couple in the Caddy making a left turn into there driveway. The elderly couple was killed instantly.

So be careful & take it easy!!!

My first ride was a Dodge Viper R/T at the age of 16. Age has nothing to do with maturity most of the time, an accident can occur to anyone regardless of age. Luckily i have never been in any fender benders and i am a crazy f*ck when it comes to driving in these sport vehicles. You just have to know your limits and when to fool around.

Havent we already been through this stuff about his age. I say lets stop beating a dead horse and leave him alone.

Just another thought, he could be out smokin' crack and causing trouble but instead he has an interest which he follows wholeheartedly, regardless of his age.
