needing opinions on these 2 hoods
I'm racking my brains out between the Cervini's Cowl hood(fiberglass) and the Reflexxions Cowl hood (steel) The Cervinis hides the washer squirters but the relexxion hood has the cut-outs on top of the cowl( not my favorite place, but no big deal). I just don't know how the Cervinis will fit and if the quality is there. The reflexxion hood I know fits well and is steel , but does that mean that it is a better hood?? Any imput from owners would help. I need to decide befoire Friday eve. Thanks to all!
I got the Cervini's cowl hood and no complaints here. Look at the pics and you will see that it matches great and looks good to.
Here's one pic.

Don't make your decsion yet. My Reflexxion cowl will be done today or Tomorrow.
It is another pannel paint job like my tonneau but it will work. I'll post them as soon as i get it done. All i need to do is rub it and put it on.

Badazz516--That is one nice truck. So you didn't have any fitment alterations on the hood?? That was my main concern. Also, how long did you "bake " the hood before painting? I heard some bake it twice, one hour each at 140 degrees. BTW what wheels are those? I loke them alot.

Thanks for the kind words im glad that you like the truck. I think im gonna have to put a link in my sig that says what kind of rims they are i must get at least an e-mail a day asking me that hehe
The rims are Boyd Coddington Smoothie 2 size 20x10 mounted on Dunlope Sport Sp9000 295/40/20's. As for the hood im not sure i got it delievered to my house and gave it to my body shop guy he did all the work.

Get the Cervini cowl hood......Quality is great, compared to the stock hood. I have been in the stamping plant where the factory hood is made, and the quality issues are numerous.
I installed the Cervini on my 01' Lightning and it fit with little or no
problems. Stock hinges work great.
You are correct on the statement that the squirters will take a little work to use, however, I chose not to install mine as I don't leave home in the rain and have never had the wipers on. I love
Rain-X !!!!!
I did not "bake" mine before painting and have had 0 problems.
My truck is silver which can be a pain in the rear to match, but my
painter matched it perfectly without any blending on the fenders.
It is a quality piece.. Just my opinion....Its your truck and $$$$.
