Took the 02 in for a few things. Had the seat repaired. New fog lites installed and new exhaust tips ordered..all under warranty.
The tips were pitting.
Last oil change I noticed some oil on the passenger side of the flywell housing. They put dye in and will check it with a black lite soon as I take it back. I was informed that the deck and or head could be pitted and if that is the case I'm looking at a new head or motor. I'm leaning towards the new motor. Wiwsh me luck. My service department has never said a thing about my mods.

Twisted-My 01 is going in the shop Friday for the same thing. The passanger side head is leaking oil between the head and block and is now dripping off the tranny bell housing. They are having big time problems with all 5.4 engines doing this. Tech line told them to install a new head if they could find one, if not put an engine in it! They are gonna replace both heads(had 'em in stock) because the drivers side is seeping also!
Does your's blow a cloud of blue smoke out the exhaust at startup? Just curious, mine has done that since day one and I only have 5,700 miles on her.

Mine has 31000 on it. Never really noticed smoke at startup. I have noticed the smell of burning oil lately after running it hard.
I attributed that to possible oil in the intake.
I will make sure it's not a remanufactured motor. If it gets to that point. Hopfully it will be a new crate motor. Time will tell. I run 5-30 mobil 1.
