Polishing the SC?

How or what is the best way to do this? I'm interested, but would like to know how long it took some of you guys to do it, or how much it cost if you had someone else do it-

TIA!

Chris

BABolt would probably be the best resource for this information. He has done several.

Actually, I bet he tells you he's done one to many....

If you can find somebody to do a quality polish, expect to pay about $1000 +-.

$1000, huh?

DOH! Hmm, guess I'll have to add it to the list, just a bit further down than what I was hoping for...LOL.

Wink

Hi Guys
Yes it can be a PITA. Not just the polishing but the taking apart and reassembly. Make a mistake and you can give somebody a pretty piece of junk. There was another post where a fellow posted his supercharger and someone complained about the middle plate not being polished. Well most people do not want to contend with that because the rotors and gears are attached and it is not something that you want to pull apart. I make sure all three pieces are polished and for the final polishing I assembly the S/C and polish it as a unit. I would like to see someone hold a complete S/C in their hands for an hour if front of a 12 inch buffing wheel spinning on a 5 HP electric motor and that is only the final buff. I"ve done it now for three of them and it does get a little old.

If any of you guys can persuade him, BABolt is the man...

My hat is still off to you, Mike.

Thumbs up

Hey TampaSVT,

Those are some very, very, very nice looking pieces of art you have their.

BaBolt (Mike), you are the man.
All your work is the best of quality. Your worth the cost to ensure it's done right the first time.
