Question Boyd Coddington Smoothies

Our stock wheels are 18x9.5 correct? If I purchase the smoothies in the 18's what width should I go with? 9 or 10? I plan on keeping my F-1's.

Go with 20's ! You will be happy you did in 6 months. You can get Goodyear HP 295-40-20 for around $210ish a tire. So if you spend a bit more you will probably not have the urge to upgrade in a few months.

Every since Badazz posted pictures of his truck, I've been drooling over the 20's. I REALLY want them. I wonder, does anyone have a price on the Smoothie 2's?? I'm hoping Badazz will jump in on this one.

How would the 20's look on a truck with only a Belltech 2" drop in the back, and stock height in front........TOO MUCH wheel gap??

BlackBolt99 check out this site...http://www.bcoddington.com/wheels/Cast/smoothie2.html I've been the same way since I saw Badazz's wheels Ashenor, I had a feeling you guy's weren't gonna let me get away with the 18's JC IMHO they would look great on your truck...

Question polished????

It said the wheels were polished aluminum. Are they going to be hard to keep clean, are they going to be as bright as chrome??

Polished aluminum will never look like chrome and depending on your local weather conditions they will have to be polished on a very regular basis. One solution is to clear coat, which cuts the maintainence way down.

Talking

Thanks for all the kind words guys glad that you like the wheels. It was long wait for them but as you can tell well worth it. I got the Smoothies 2 20x10 mounted on Dunlope Sport SP9000 295/40/20's. I dont have a drop on my truck either so for who ever wanted to see what it would look like like that here are some pics. As for the shine they shine fine to me and i disagree they can look just as good as chrome just have to keep up with them.

Theres one.

Heres another.

Heres a close up. Notice the shine looks like chrome to me.

I hate you!!

I never ever thought of rims as a probable mod. I mean....look at the stock wheels....they are badass, 18's, and perfect on the truck.

But these wheels you got Vin, are the absolute BADDEST wheels I have ever, and will ever see, without a doubt on a Lightning. HOLY ***** they are bad. I can't justify paying over $3k for wheels, but the more I see your truck, the more I tend to try and convince myself.....................AHHHHH!! Why did you do this to me!!!

I got a 2" drop in the back, so my gap should fill a little more than yours..............but I'm still concerned it's going to look weird, unless I go with a 3/4 drop like Richard (ICULOKN) or RTKILLA. I don't know.....DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!!

JC

Glad that you like them that much. I do to they were worth the wait and glad that i didnt say F-it and pick another wheel. I dont like the lowered look thats just me. I think the truck looks fine without being lowered.
