Going to acetone my badges tomorrow, any advice?

Seems pretty straightforward, any caution or anything invovled? Seems the back one you don't want the stuff to drip on the black plastic of the bumper.

Thanks

tape them off so you won't get as much on your paint by accident

lots of q-tips too

and if you get some of the black on your paint, use a little bit of the stuff and rub it off, never let it dry to the paint

Just did mine...

Forget about acetone, pick up some Xylene. I am not exxagerating when I say I was done with all three emblems in about 10 minutes. As others have said, it may be a good idea to mask them first. Definitely keep the solvent off of the plastic of the bumper.

Well worse case scenario if i don't like it i spend $40 for 2 new front badges. I really like the look of Iculokn's front badges on the silver. I stopped and seen another local red L with it done today and really liked it.

I did mine recently. Mask carefully and take your time. I did the entire badge including the outer edge and didn't have a problem.

I did mine too, and it was pretty easy. Some of the paint from the badge tends to get on the truck, but comes right off with a little acetone. I kept some soapy water handy, and wiped down the truck paint as I went. Works fine , no problems.... Looks Great when you're done, and its one of the cheapest mods. Did my SVT F150 rear badge as well!!
