screwed wheels and etched windows
screwed wheels and etched windows
Had an interesting 4 passes at the local strip Friday night.
On the 4th and final pass, I could tell the Hoosiers were really
taking hold as the truck lunged when I hit the throttle. Although
I only ran a 13.01, the sixty foot time was better than normal
and this pleased me. When I pulled back into the pits to change
back to the F-1's for the trip home I noticed the alignment marks
I had made on the rims and tires were now about 2" apart.
I really thought that since I was running tubes that this would not
have happened. So Saturday morning I drove out to Summit and
bought the screws and installed them. ( was a little nervous as us
Engineers are fat fingered) Anyone else have to do this?
As for the etched windows. I went to a curise in Sunday and there
was this person who called himself the Wizard who asked the DJ
to announce he was there to pinstripe, or do glass etchings for
anyone interested. I have always toyed with the idea of having
someone etch "Lightning Bolts" in my door windows, so I took him
up on his offer, and with everyone there watching he commenced
to do a really nice multi-tailed lightning strike in the upper rear
corner of each of my door windows.
I am a real fat fingered computer person, so I will ask a friend to
take a picture and I will attempt to post it here this week.

I have heard of the Wizard , Pinstriping and etching is really big in ohio. I have heard of him all the way down in Middletown , but of course I had my local hookup of Lainhardt and Willis for years
