I feel like a ricer ....

driving around and revving all the time. Thats what the full length exhaust from JDM does to you.

On saturday I got everything from long tubes to the tips. Spent the whole saturday night installing with my best friend. The install was long and much patience required, only because I don't have a huge tool collection.

The sound is great, the power increase is definately there. The long tubes and cats and tips are of great quality. And they look so nice.

After getting it done I was driving around at 3am with a huge smile on my face. It's so nice.

I have a lot more comments, but instead of re-writing them (I am completely tired and sore after installing this system and doing a ton of house work), so if you want to read more heres my writeup on them:

more pics to come, gotta get under and snap some more photos when I check all the bolts later this week.

Congrats on getting them installed Pete! I was wondering how it went!

Are these things great?

Sometimes I still sit and blink on the fact I just spent $2k on an exhaust, but then again, I make myself feel better by telling myself that my stereo cost more...somehow it seems to work. lol.

Question HOW IS THIS SET UP

Compared to the Bassani?? How long did it take and were there any special tools to buy I was thinking of doing this my-self..
Want to be prepared before starting this little project. Want everything in the garage before getting started!
Thanks!!!

ICULOKN - glad to know I'm not alone

Dan - check your email

whitetoast11 - just they way they rev for no reason, but I have a reason

RA6870 - the install was straight forward. Stubby wrenches and a few more swivel sockets would have drastically cut down the install time. Me and my found that some bolts we were only able to turn 1/16 at a time, which makes it a long time to get it fully tightened. Thats were most of our time went. If I did it again I could do it around 4 hours, and I learned which tools I need to go buy now.

compared to the bassani????? Vin has just the bassani muffler and it is louder then my whole exhaust

Really the you think my Bassani Cat Back is louder? Did you get the one muffler or 2 muffler JDM exhuast? Once i get this rim bill and taxes off my back i want to get the Longtubes and when i heard the sound clip of the longtubes with the bassani Sounds like a wild animal and i cant wait.

Thumbs up

captainoblivious,

You are definitely not alone. I find myself downshifting from overdrive off to second and to first as I slow down A LOT. Where I really like to hear them is under a bridge exiting the interstate. They talk chit !!!

I think this...

The LT's with the dual magnaflows is very loud but not clean.
The LT's with the Bassani cat back is very loud and really clean and crisp.
The LT's with the single magnaflow is deep and a sleeper sound.

Thats based on the various trucks I have heard. The Lt's & Bassani give it that Stang with a off-road H-pipe sound...

Chikenears - one of the reasons I wish these were manuals, downshifting.

Vin - your bassani muffler alone is louder then this, and will get much louder and nicer with the LT on, though way to much for my personal preferance.

ICULOKN - I wouldn't consider the dual magnaflow not clean though, Dan just got his put on and it also is nice and loud.

Thats why i got the Bassani loudest meaning sounding exhuast out there . I remeber when i first got it and was pulling into my garage the lamp shades in my living room above my garage were shaking hehe. I cant wait to get the longtubes on and really shake those lamp shades.

Re: I feel like a ricer ....

As long as you don't look like this. And claim 100 hp gain from your new exhaust.

Nice write-up. Can't wait till mine arrive. Roughly, how many weeks did you have to wait for them to arrive. Hoping Jim brings enough sets down here to Houston for FFW this weekend.
