Melted vacum line

About 1 week ago i had a check engine light come on so i said no big deal and i cleared the codes. then it came back so tonight i looked for the reason. i found it look at my pics. everyone might want to zip ti this line back or something

Looks like your heat-shield sleeve is a little short?

Actually, this is a defect in the assembly IMHO. The heat
guard slides down and exposes the vacuum line to the
melting temp. Crazyone pointed this out to me last week,
and now I am thinking of tieing something up, or maybe
two somethings. Both the shield and the vacuum line.

Should i go to the ford place and make them pay for it or just go buy one at a parts store and be done with it.

my vac line doesn't get that close to the egr tube... must have been a little slipup at the factory..
