I have a new '02 L which now has only 350 miles on it. How many break-in miles should I put on it before taking it to the track –– a 1000?

this is a highly debated topic. I waited until i had about 500 miles on the odo before i really got on it! but then some people squeal their tires all the way home from the dealer. I guess it is up to you, w/e you think is safe.

 

I didn't start racing til I had 2500 miles on it ... but I changed
the oil every 500 miles for the first 1500
