Quick Beltech question

im about to buy the beltech 3/4 drop for my 02 L. I read through all the archives when i did a search and found a lot of good info. I also read something that leaves me a little stumped . I read on the beltech 3/4, it comes out to like a 2/3 on the L and to make it sit level you have to put the shackle bolt in the 2nd hole? Can someone please explain this a little. BTW, i just picked up my red 02 L tuesday after selling my cammed 01 ws6 transam. IM VERY HAPPPY

Well first off, the kit does end up being a 2/4, since the L is already lowered from Ford, (3/4 for regular F150) . But the problem is if you leave it at 2/4 , the rear looks like it is sagging, way to low compared to the front, so you have to move it down a hole. My truck now is a 2/3 and I think it looks great and it doesnt bottom out too much. After you do the install, you might want to contact "wrongdayj", he has a lot of useful information on getting the truck to handle well again. Endlinks ect.. Hopes this helps you at all.
BTW, get the kit from the online store, that doesnt come with the Belltech Nitro shocks, I really hate the ride with the shocks.

Mine is down to the lowest hole possible and still looks like it sags. Of course I still have the Hithc and a Fiberglass ARE bedcover and spar tire back there. HMMM 500 pounds there maybe. lI am sure if I dumped those it would sit better

So-Cal speed shop sells a shock extender kit for the rear so you can use your original Bilsteins. The Bilsteins have a 300 psi rating, and I havn't seen any of those shorty shocks with more than about 190 psi

I did not see that on their site. But then again I am blind in one eye and can't see out the other. Do you have a link? Are you using them?

They don't have it listed on their site, but if you call them ask for Aaron Hanson(I think thats his name, but he is the guy that does a lot of the lowering on the L out there) He will know exactly what you are lookin' for!! And yes I am using them, They work slicker than spit on a brass door ****.
