Question What would be the next best mod?

Just a question for all of you. My truck has run a best of 13.45@102, and I am looking for something to get me into the 12's. Currently, I have a superchip (don't know if there is a hotter program out there for it), 2# lower pulley, and a K+N filter in the stock box (bottom is cut out of it). What would be the next best mods to drop my times into the 12's? I run a 60' time of 2.005-2.1 on the stock F1's.

How big should I go on the pulley? Should I opt to change the upper pulley now? I don't have any problem with that, and I have a nice hydraulic press right here.
Are there big power gains on by swapping the TB?
I am wondering about my chip. It is a generic Superchip program that I got last October. Any ideas if there has been a better program released from them?

call up your tuner and tell him you want the latest program. there have probly been some imporvements since you got your chip.
i would go with a 4lb lower instead of going with an upper. most people say you should be safe with a 4lber. youll get more gain with 2 more lbs of boost than you will with a throttle body IMO

You may just want your chip updated.

At the end of last season I ran a 13.009 with a chip, 2lb lower, K&N panel filter and my own cool air. I also had the hotchkis springs on my truck so traction sucked 2.082 60' time, which if I had better weight transfer would have put me in 1.9x 60', just enough to give me my 12 sec run.

Call Jim@JDM and get that chip ugraded, if I ran 13.0 with the same mods and 60ft you should be closer to me (granted weather and air is the same).

Thanks guys. I just want to get out of the 13's

Just out of curiousity, how does JDM work as far as getting the new program? I bought the chip locally from a guy who said he was a distributor of JDM. I haven't talked to him about a re-burn, but maybe he can do it rather than sending it to JDM? I don't know which is a better idea.

Suppose that I get the chip updated, is would it be a good idea to go ahead and also change to the 4# lower? I believe that would be a solid 12.XX combination.

captainoblivious - stupid question here... your runs were made on the F1's?

I ran a 12.79 with just a 2 lb pulley, JDM chip (on the street program), JL Stage 2 Ram Air and Line Mod Valve.

Technically...its a smaller pulley -

-Get your chip tuned by JDM...they are the best! or have local tuner tune the chip on the dyno
-Then 2 or 4 lb pulley
-K&N should be sufficient...although there are better choices IMO

93Cobra - yes they were made on stock f1's @ about 28psi.

I'd say call JDM directly and send your chip to him. Not having the chip for a few days is well worth it, especially what they can do with chips.

I'd hold off on the 4lb pulley, unless you want get into mid 12's (as apposed to just high 12's).

You may also want to look into an electric fan.
