Belltech/The bump stops here!

I put the belltech 3/4 kit on my 01L, and I have been running the rear in the top hole on the schackle. Needless to say the L has been gettin' slapped in the A$$. I put the shock extender kit on from So-Cal to retain the original Bilsteins. Better, but not fixed. Added the Western Chasis C notch kit, which I figured would solve the problem, But golllley, still had a whack on my severe "test bump". Went to one of those quick lube places in town, where they have a pit, and the guy let me go underneath while one of the big boys stood in the bed and got her rockin'. Discovered that the backend of the top of the pumpkin is hitting one of the ribs that reinforce the bed. These ribs are rectangular, run perpendicular to the length of the bed, and are about 2 1/2 inches tall. I found that by cutting out the bottom and front face of the rib and leaving the back face of the rib, the pumpkin would clear and not hit the rib or bed of the truck. I only had to cut out about an 8 inch section. With the rib tack welded accross the entire bed, and leaving the back face of the rib intacked, there should be no weakness in the bed. No more A$$ slappin' from this B#@ch!!!

i had, somewhat the same problem, i noticed my shortened stabalizer end links was hitting the frame, i was running in the second hole in the belltech shackles, i did look at the pumpkin issue but it wasnt hitting there, i also noticed the truck sat lower in the back so i put on the stock shackles and i really like the way it sits and rides now..
