When I bought my L it didn't have a hitch on it.

Is there anyone kinda close to southern ILL. that has taken one off and wants to sell it. If not where is the cheapest best place to buy a class 4 hitch.

are you saying that your new Lightning did not come with a hitch (which btw is class 3) OR are you saying it didn't come the "part that goes in the square hole"?

My 99 didn'y have the factory receiver on it (the square part), the previous owner removed it for his Expedition. So I had a U-haul class 3 reciever on my 99 XLT 4x4, so I just swapped it over to the L. If I remember right, the U-haul hitch was in the low $100's.

 

I have the inserts that go into the hitch. I am needing the part that bolts on the truck. Mine did not come with one. Mine is a 99 also and as of right now I am towing with the bumper and it is only time until I scratch it up.

I can purchase an aftermarket one for $94 and tax but would like a used one to try to save some money for a MAF, chip and filter.
